Thanks to supporters like you, our grassroots campaign to pass the Florida Competitive Workforce Act has grown at an amazing speed.
To date, more than 200 businesses, from some of Florida’s largest employers to mom and pop operations across our state, have joined us in our fight to ensure that all Floridians are treated fairly.
Some of these businesses employees numbering in the thousands of employees, and some have single digits, but they all have one thing in common: They believe that protecting LGBT Floridians from discrimination is the right thing to do and that it will help our state stay competitive in the global workforce.
In a statement from the coalition today, our spokesperson, Christina Johnson, described the campaigns growth, “As part of our grassroots campaign, we now have a field team in place who have been effective in reaching out to small business owners and local leaders throughout the state who believe that anti-discrimination measures must be in place among the LGBT community. To date, we have garnered the support of more than 200 small businesses, along with a host of volunteers who are writing letters and making phone calls in support of this legislation.”
